73 Miller St, North Sydney

(Completion Mid 2020)

BRIEF

The project is a major repositioning project for the building, expanding the current 14,672m² to 19,062m² of net lettable area. Through the incorporation of new sustainable features including a rooftop photovoltaic system, the building will achieve a NABERS Energy Rating of 5 stars and necessitated a sophisticated and reliable Building Management System.

SOLUTION

Due for completion towards mid 2020 Oztech is currently well into the delivery of a complete BMS utilising the latest Johnson Controls BACnet controllers and Niagara 4 JACE-8000.

The system features the full control of the HVAC systems together with integration across lighting, security and metering services.

Featuring all of Oztech’s latest feature-rich enhanced Niagara 4 templates and tools, the GUI webserver provides powerful and flexible user access, whether via PC or portable/touchscreen devices.

36 Carrington St, Sydney

(Completion early 2020)

BRIEF

The 1970s building is undergoing a transformation to create a quality boutique workplace with a 5 Star NABERS Energy rated Base Building necessitating a sophisticated and reliable Building Management System. The 12-level commercial building (10 levels of office and two levels of retail) is located in close proximity to the $2b revitalisation of Brookfield Properties’ Wynyard Place Precinct and the newly revamped Wynyard Station.

SOLUTION

The project is due for completion early 2020. Although relatively small in terms of NLA the building is a mix of VAVs, FCUs and passive chilled beams. Open ceilings have required a complete rethink of the BMS installation and as such utilises wireless floor temperature and humidity sensors throughout.

(Completion end of 2019)

BRIEF

This new state of the art rural cancer treatment facility is intended to serve as a basis for future rural cancer treatment centres and necessitated a sophisticated and reliable Building Management System.

SOLUTION

Oztech is currently in the final stages of delivering a combined Mech-Elec and BMS package; utilising the latest Johnson Controls IP-Based BACnet controllers and Niagara 4 JACE-8000, housed into a fully integrated MSSB with Oztech’s new “Virtual MSSB” HMI touchscreen interface.

The system features robust control of mission-critical mechanical equipment including the chilled water system serving the Linear Accelerator medical equipment, and fully integrated control and monitoring of building services including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, medical gas and energy metering.

Melbourne Town Hall Administration Building

(Completion end of 2019)

BRIEF

This historic heritage-listed government facility required a major Automatic Controls upgrade where ongoing lack of control and visibility of existing standalone systems were not in line of the City of Melbourne’s push towards an energy sustainable building portfolio.

SOLUTION

Oztech designed and supplied a new high performance BMS IP communications backbone vertically throughout the building, but also Johnson Controls’ low power consumption, flexible and reliable ZigBee wireless mesh technology across the floors.

The upgrade included a complete Building Management and Energy Monitoring System, integrated with a new central Oztech Niagara 4 Supervisor Server, virtualised and hosted on client IT assets.
